They make great presents too. These chains are the kind that everyone uses in NYC. They are hardened steel. Which means that it takes 6400 pounds of pressure to break it. It takes 800 lbs. for a normal lock or a bic pen for a U-lock. They are covered with heavy duty duct tape to keep it stiff in the center and wrapped in a removeable fabric cover which has reflective ribbon on it which will cushion the chain from hurting you and your bike. They are long enough to go around your frame and both wheels. Hardened steel lock not included but easy to pick up at your local hardware store.
